Data compliance statement
Issued with every dataset we sell. Open it from your delivery email to get the version naming your specific dataset.
1. Provenance
This dataset was compiled from publicly and commercially available business sources: company websites, public directory and exhibitor listings, and public technology signals observed on live domains. It was not obtained from the individuals named in it, and it was not purchased from a consumer-data broker.
Records are professional and role-based (a person in their capacity at a company) rather than personal or consumer data. Every record passes live verification immediately before delivery; invalid, undeliverable and high-risk addresses are removed rather than counted.
2. Lawful basis and controllership
We process this data under legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) for business-to-business communication, having weighed that interest against the rights of the people in the data and confined what we hold to a professional context. The controller of our copy is REPLACE_LEGAL_NAME, trading as Lead Huntr, at REPLACE_STREET, REPLACE_CITY, REPLACE_STATE REPLACE_PIN, India. Notice under Art. 14 is published on our privacy policy.
On delivery, controllership of your campaign passes to you. From the moment you send, you are the controller for that outreach and answerable for it. Polar is the merchant of record for the transaction and its own controller for payment and tax.
3. Regimes that apply to your use
- GDPR / UK GDPR: Legitimate interest for B2B outreach, with an absolute right to object to direct marketing.
- CAN-SPAM: For any US recipient: truthful headers, postal address, working opt-out.
- CASL: For any Canadian recipient: CASL is consent-based and materially stricter than CAN-SPAM. Check before sending.
This list reflects the region this dataset covers. It is not exhaustive: the law of your own establishment applies to you as well.
4. Suppression and erasure
We keep a permanent suppression list of unsubscribes, complaints and erasure requests, and strip those records from every subsequent delivery. Anyone can be removed by emailing buy@leadhuntr.shop, free of charge, normally within 30 days.
A file already delivered cannot be recalled, so erasure covers our copy and everything we ship from that point onward. Your licence requires you to honour opt-outs in your own campaigns, and that obligation is what makes the chain work.
5. Your obligations as sender
- Identify yourself truthfully, with a real postal address where the regime requires one.
- Provide a working opt-out in every message and honour it promptly and permanently.
- Do not re-sell, sub-licence, or publish the dataset. The licence is to you, for your own outreach.
- Apply your own suppression list before sending, on top of ours.
- Check the rules for phone and messaging channels separately, because they are stricter than email.
